This is a nice large loaf – it has a sweet nutty flavour.

These are quite heavy but have a fantastic flavour which is always enjoyed by my tasters on the gluten-free bread course. Available in plain, sundried tomato & basil, rosemary & garlic.

Allergy Advice: Gluten wheat & lactose free.  Contains soya, yeast and eggs. Produced in premises handling nuts.

This pack contains a few slices of large thinly sliced rye bread. It has an authentic rye bread taste which is great toasted with sweet toppings or as a sandwich.

Tesco Free-From Ciabatta

Tesco Free-From Ciabatta(wf, gf, df)

This is my favourite of the supermarket gf offerings. When warmed it has a nice soft texture and is also quite light. Great as a tear’n’share bread for dinner parties or brunch.

Allergy Advice: Contains egg. Nut traces.

Dietary Specials Multigrain

This is a good ready sliced bread with fibre, although a little on the small size for sandwiches. It is nice toasted and is readily available from supermarkets.

Allergy Advice: No egg or dairy ingredients.

Glutafin Fresh Bread

Glutafin Fresh Bread(gf)

This loaf contains wheat starch and so is not suitable for wheat allergics or intolerants. It has a fantastic soft texture – not dry at all! The freshly baked nature of this bread makes it far superior to its vacuum packed alternatives. The down side is that it is only available in boxes of 8 packs, so you need a good sized freezer.

Allergy Advice: Contains wheat starch and dairy.

Juvela Fibre Mix

This is great for baking your own gluten free bread. I have had good results using a Panasonic SD-253 bread machine. However, I recommend that you follow the bread machine manufacturer’s instructions rather than those on the mix since they have tested the mix in their machine.

Allergy Advice: Contains wheat starch and dairy.

This bread is a favourite with my daughters. It has a nice soft texture and is the closest thing to real soft white toast that I have come across. It is available as bread and rolls.

Allergy Advice: Contains egg
